چکیده
Low air pressure is a feature of high-altitude regions. Domestic wastewater from such regions typically has low carbon-to-nitrogen ratio (C/N ratio). These factors combine to make traditional biological nitrogen removal in inefficient and more energy-intensive. The partial denitrification-anaerobic ammonium oxidation (PD/A) process was reported remove ammonia municipal sewage, consuming fewer carbon sources requiring no aeration supply. In this study, we set up laboratory-scale reactors simulated environmental conditions, studied the effect on PD/A process. We found that promotes efficiency (NRE), achieving 93.0 ± 0.3% at 65 kPa, contribution rate anaerobic (anammox) increased 77.7%. Lower dissolved oxygen (DO) concentrations caused by lower were reason for higher nitrite accumulation (NAE) denitrification (PD) system, with measured values 78.4 2.8% kPa. anammox promoted pressure, mainly because resulted ammonia-oxidizing bacteria activity, specific activity (SAA) reaching 26.3 mg·N/(g·VSS·d). Although relative abundance partial-denitrifying declined slightly, kPa compared 96 they still dominant genus sludge, continued generate steadily, even pressures. bacterial remained relatively stable, but their increased, which aided This study demonstrates how process, indicating possibility sustainable improved

Effect of zinc on anammox activity and performance of simultaneous partial nitrification, anammox and denitrification (SNAD) process.
In the present study, short-term effects of zinc on anammox activities and long-term effect of zinc on the performance of simultaneous partial nitrification, anammox and denitrification (SNAD) process were evaluated. The anammox activity decreased with increasing zinc concentration and exposure time in short-term tests. The IC50 value of zinc was found to be 6.9mg/L. However, the presence of zi...

Development of simultaneous partial nitrification, anammox and denitrification (SNAD) process in a sequential batch reactor.
Simultaneous partial nitrification, anammox and denitrification (SNAD) process was developed in a sequential batch reactor (SBR) and the influence of hydraulic retention time (HRT) on the SNAD process was investigated. Around 96% NH(4)(+)-N removal and 87% COD removal were observed at 9 d HRT. Marginal decreases in the removal efficiencies were observed when the HRT was reduced to 3d or the loa...

متن کاملThe development of simultaneous partial nitrification, ANAMMOX and denitrification (SNAD) process in a single reactor for nitrogen removal.
The simultaneous partial nitrification, ANAMMOX and denitrification (SNAD) process was validated to potentially remove ammonium and COD from wastewater in a single, oxygen-limited, non-woven rotating biological contactor (NRBC) reactor. An ammonium conversion efficiency of 79%, TN removal efficiency of 70% and COD removal efficiency of 94% were obtained with the nitrogen and COD loading rate of...
